Over six months, contributed to CDCgov repositories by building secure, maintainable backend and cloud infrastructure solutions. Enhanced CDCgov/prime-simplereport by upgrading backend dependencies and mitigating vulnerabilities using JavaScript, YAML, and Gradle, aligning with DevSecOps practices for safer releases. In CDCgov/dibbs-ecr-refiner, implemented automated container image vulnerability scanning and streamlined security feedback in CI/CD pipelines with Docker and GitHub Actions. For CDCgov/NEDSS-Helm, delivered ingress configuration, observability enhancements, and Kubernetes resource management using Helm and Infrastructure as Code, improving deployment flexibility, log visibility, and cluster stability. Work emphasized automation, security, and operational reliability across cloud-native environments and modern DevOps workflows.
Month 2026-07: Resource management improvements in CDCgov/NEDSS-Helm focusing on Kubernetes resource allocation and JVM heap tuning to improve stability, predictability, and efficiency for Elasticsearch, NiFi, and modernization-api.
