Developed an automated Backrest Installation and Management Script for the community-scripts/ProxmoxVED repository, focusing on simplifying deployment and ongoing management within Proxmox VE environments. The solution enabled one-click installation, integrated systemd service management, and supported environment variable configuration, with updates sourced directly from GitHub. Follow-up enhancements streamlined the download and extraction process, ensured the service ran under a root user for proper permissions, and implemented cleanup of temporary files to improve security and user experience. Work was delivered using Bash and shell scripting, demonstrating skills in DevOps, system administration, and security-conscious automation, with all changes tracked for traceability.
