Erland Arctaedius enhanced the goldmansachs/legend-engine repository by delivering new classloader functionality and restoring a previously removed memsql dependency to maintain compatibility across existing features. Focusing on robust dependency management, Erland used Java, Maven, and XML to reduce regression risk for workflows reliant on memsql. The technical approach involved collaborating with co-author Rafael Bey-Hernandez to ensure seamless integration and future extensibility. This work established a foundation for dynamic loading and modular extension of core engine components. Although the contribution spanned a single feature over one month, it addressed a critical compatibility issue and improved the maintainability of the engine’s dependencies.
