During May 2026, contributed to the projectdiscovery/katana repository by developing a structured callback system for the headless engine, enhancing navigation control and workflow reliability. This work introduced pre- and post-navigation hooks, allowing for more granular management of headless crawling actions. The implementation featured a strongly-typed hooks contract and snapshot installation to address memory aliasing, improving maintainability and correctness. Comprehensive unit tests were added to validate callback behavior and ensure robust integration. The project leveraged Go for back end and API development, focusing on delivering a flexible, testable system that supports ongoing improvements to the headless crawling engine’s architecture.
