
Developed in-app video calling for Zulip by integrating Constructor Groups conferencing directly into the zulip/zulip repository. This work introduced new API endpoints and frontend components, allowing users to create and manage video calls seamlessly within existing chat workflows. The implementation focused on backend and frontend development using JavaScript and Python, ensuring compatibility with Constructor Groups services and reducing context switching for teams. Additionally, the integration addressed reliability concerns tied to issue #35623, improving the overall user experience. Testing was incorporated throughout to validate the end-to-end video call flow and maintain alignment with Zulip’s established API and UX standards.
