Contributed to the dbeaver/dbeaver repository by enhancing SQL dialect compatibility and expanding Firebird database support. Focused on improving the SQL query transformer, the work enabled count queries on non-standard SELECT statements and refined error handling and logging for complex SQL syntax. Leveraging Java and SQL, the developer extended the Firebird dialect with additional keywords, functions, and SQL generators, updating related test logic to ensure reliability. Debugging and database management skills were applied to increase cross-database compatibility and observability. Collaborative development practices, including co-authored and Copilot-assisted commits, ensured robust code quality and comprehensive test coverage throughout the feature implementation.
