Worked on the bcgov/nr-nmp repository to enhance security around SSO integration by addressing the handling of sensitive environment variables. Focused on hardening secret management, the developer updated deployment configurations to ensure the SSO authentication server URL was treated as a secret, preventing its exposure in logs or non-secret environment variables. This approach reduced the risk of sensitive data leakage and aligned with best practices for secure deployments. The work leveraged skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and security, utilizing YAML for configuration changes. No new features were released during this period, with efforts concentrated on resolving a critical security issue.
