Keeghan Polard enhanced roadmap planning processes in the bcgov/nr-nmp repository by designing and implementing a new roadmap-item issue template using Markdown. Leveraging skills in GitHub Actions and issue management, Keeghan replaced the legacy custom template and standardized labels across all issue templates to streamline intake and improve governance. This work focused on making roadmap item submission more consistent and transparent, enabling more accurate prioritization and reporting for the team. The changes were delivered as a single feature update, reflecting a targeted and well-scoped engineering effort that improved template usage without introducing new bugs or requiring extensive code changes.
