Jamie focused on refining dependency management workflows in the linear/linear repository, delivering a feature that shifted Dependabot updates to a weekly schedule and disabled automatic pull requests by setting the open PR limit to zero. By removing the scheduled cron job from the dependencies workflow, Jamie ensured that updates would be review-driven rather than automated, supporting more stable release cycles and aligning with governance policies. This work, implemented using YAML and leveraging CI/CD and DevOps practices, reduced unnecessary update noise and improved oversight of dependency changes. The approach demonstrated a targeted, policy-aligned enhancement to the project’s dependency management process.
