During July 2025, Finnur contributed to the mozilla/gecko-dev repository by addressing persistent instability in the Linux BiDi screen orientation WebDriver tests. He implemented a targeted patch in Python that temporarily disabled four flaky tests, reducing continuous integration noise and improving the reliability of sheriff feedback loops. This approach focused on minimizing risk by isolating the change to only the affected tests, rather than altering the broader test suite. Finnur’s work demonstrated strong debugging and test automation skills, as well as familiarity with Linux CI environments and WebDriver infrastructure, effectively supporting ongoing efforts to stabilize BiDi emulation for screen orientation.
