During December 2025, Darian Mata enhanced the onboarding experience for the lichess-org/lila repository by adding a REGISTER link to the anaonDasher UI and refining element spacing to improve visual clarity. Working primarily with Scala and front end development skills, Darian focused on UI design to reduce friction in the signup process and support increased user registrations. The changes were carefully integrated with attention to UI composition and version control best practices. While the scope of work was limited to a single feature and did not include bug fixes, the contribution addressed a targeted usability issue with a clear, maintainable solution.
