Worked on the Zilliqa/zq2 repository to deliver a policy-driven update to the backup configuration, focusing on improving data governance and optimizing storage usage. The update reduced backup retention from 14 days to 7 days and clarified guest data handling by setting the guest flush parameter to false. Using Infrastructure as Code principles and Terraform, the changes were implemented in HCL with careful attention to configuration governance and traceability through descriptive Git commits. This work streamlined data retention management, aligned backup policies with governance requirements, and enabled potential storage cost reductions, demonstrating disciplined release practices and a methodical approach to infrastructure updates.
