Worked on enhancing data reliability for PET metadata within the cornerstonejs/cornerstone3D repository, focusing on a targeted bug fix rather than new feature development. Addressed a critical issue in CorrectedImage handling by ensuring that values for the DICOM 00280051 tag were joined correctly, which resolved the DECY error affecting PET series metadata. This change improved both the integrity and stability of metadata display, preventing potential data corruption and display issues. The work involved in-depth metadata handling using JavaScript and DICOM standards, demonstrating careful attention to data structure and correctness in a specialized medical imaging context over the course of the month.
