Worked on the civictheme/monorepo-drupal repository to migrate the database backend from MariaDB to MySQL 8.0, focusing on improved multilingual data compatibility through utf8mb4 support and consistent collation management. Updated Docker configurations, environment variables, and connection settings to ensure seamless integration with the new database engine. Implemented update hooks in PHP and Shell to automate collation management across different environments, supporting forward compatibility and reducing manual intervention.
