Worked on the OBS Studio repository to enhance the reliability of chapter timestamp handling in the OBS Output Plugin when file splitting is enabled. Addressed a bug where chapter timestamps could become misaligned across multi-file recordings by recalculating timestamps relative to the current output’s start time before passing them to the muxer. This adjustment improved data integrity and user-facing accuracy for long recording sessions with multiple splits. The work involved in-depth debugging and time-based computation using C programming within a large, collaborative codebase, focusing on software development and video processing without introducing new features during the period.
