Worked on the RoleModel/optics repository to deliver a targeted user experience improvement for the accordion component. Focused on refining the interaction so that only the direct child summary is selected when rotating the accordion marker, this change addressed unintended selections and made the component’s behavior more intuitive. The solution involved careful state management and UI logic updates using JavaScript, React, and CSS, ensuring traceable and testable code changes. By aligning the accordion’s functionality with product expectations, the work reduced potential user errors and improved interface accuracy, demonstrating a methodical approach to front end development and component-level user experience enhancements.
