Worked on the grafana/helm-charts repository to enhance deployment reliability and operator control for Grafana Tempo using DevOps practices, Helm, and Kubernetes. Delivered a feature enabling configurable maxUnavailable settings for the querier deployment’s rolling updates, allowing users to manage pod availability during upgrades. Updated chart values, deployment templates, and documentation in YAML to support this new option, ensuring compatibility with existing deployments. Subsequently, managed a version bump of the tempo-distributed Helm chart from 1.33.0 to 1.34.0, updating release artifacts and documentation to maintain alignment between chart metadata and runtime components, supporting consistent and predictable deployment workflows. No bugs were fixed.
