During December 2024, Giacomo focused on improving the stability of the MystenLabs/walrus-sites repository by addressing persistent RPC errors. He resolved these issues by upgrading the Sui client to version 1.39.0 and updating several dependent crates, concentrating changes in Cargo.lock and .pre-commit-config.yaml. This targeted dependency management, executed with Rust and Cargo, reduced the surface area for RPC-related failures and enhanced runtime reliability. Giacomo’s work was validated through continuous integration and code review, demonstrating a methodical approach to dependency updates and configuration. The result was a more stable production environment with improved error handling for RPC interactions.
