Worked on the androidx/androidx repository to enhance API stability for DirectNavigationEventInput within Android Studio. Developed and implemented comprehensive stability tests using Kotlin and unit testing methodologies, focusing on safeguarding reflection-based access against issues caused by method renaming or signature changes. Introduced DirectNavigationEventInputTest to validate string-literal name checks, enforce strongly-typed Callable Reference assignments, and ensure return-type consistency for MainThread methods. This approach reduced the risk of IDE integration failures and enabled safer refactoring, ultimately improving developer confidence and productivity. The work demonstrated proficiency in Android development, reflection concepts, and cross-module collaboration, with an emphasis on test-driven design.
