During June 2025, G. Murthy developed OAuth-based authentication for the Server-Sent Events (SSE) client in the MichaelCade/mcp-go repository. He refactored HTTP client options to support SSE-specific OAuth integration, introducing new internal helpers to manage OAuth at the transport layer. By updating the example SSE client, he demonstrated secure real-time communication using the new OAuth flow. This work, implemented in Go and focused on backend development and API integration, addressed the need for enterprise-grade authentication in real-time data streams. The depth of the changes laid a foundation for enhanced security and maintainability in the project’s SSE communication infrastructure.
