In April 2025, glzjin2015 enhanced the logto-io/logto repository by implementing a CAPTCHA-based feature to improve the security of the user sign-in process. They integrated CAPTCHA into the IdentifierSignInForm and authentication hooks using React and TypeScript, ensuring that bot protection was enforced without disrupting the user experience. The technical approach involved both frontend development and careful handling of form display issues to guarantee reliable CAPTCHA visibility. This work addressed the challenge of automated sign-in attempts, resulting in a smoother and more secure authentication flow. The project demonstrated focused application of JavaScript and TypeScript in a real-world security context.
