Worked on enhancing the message forwarding experience in the lichess-org/zulip repository by delivering Forwarding UX Enhancements focused on improving usability across streams and combined feeds. Utilized JavaScript and TypeScript to implement default preservation of message topics when forwarding, ensuring that original context is maintained for users. Addressed inconsistencies in forwarding behavior within combined feeds and refactored the compose recipient dropdown function to better reflect its toggle functionality, increasing code clarity and maintainability. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of frontend development principles, with careful attention to user experience and codebase organization, resulting in a more consistent and intuitive messaging workflow.
