Griffin developed a forward-facing camera firmware update for the 2023 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD, contributing to the mvl-boston/opendbc repository. The work focused on enhancing camera functionality and reliability, directly improving the quality of perception data for downstream automotive systems. Using Python and leveraging expertise in automotive software development and firmware integration, Griffin aligned the update with Honda’s 6G firmware roadmap to support future integration efforts. The project involved committing a new firmware version with detailed documentation and co-authorship, reflecting a methodical approach to feature delivery.
