Worked on expanding the Azure HPC image ecosystem by implementing support for Rocky Linux 8.10 and 9.6 within the azhpc-images repository. Focused on enhancing compatibility for RHEL-compatible distributions, this effort addressed enterprise provisioning needs for Azure HPC workloads. Leveraging DevOps practices, Linux administration expertise, and bash scripting, the developer contributed a feature that enables seamless image building for Rocky Linux, broadening the platform’s cross-distro capabilities. The work involved a single, well-scoped pull request and demonstrated attention to enterprise readiness and maintainability. This addition allows organizations to deploy Rocky Linux-based HPC environments efficiently on Azure infrastructure.
