Guidao worked on the envoyproxy/envoy repository, focusing on enhancing observability and debugging capabilities within the admission control path. By identifying and addressing missing log arguments related to requests per second (RPS) thresholds, Guidao improved the granularity of logging output, making it easier to triage issues and tune performance. The solution was implemented in C++ and centered on targeted logging enhancements, resulting in a low-risk, single-commit change. This work demonstrated proficiency in C++ development, debugging, and logging, and contributed to more effective monitoring of admission control decisions without introducing unnecessary complexity or risk to the existing codebase.
