Developed a country code selector for SMS OTP within the zitadel/zitadel repository’s LoginV1 feature, enabling users to choose their country code for authentication instead of defaulting to Switzerland. This enhancement addressed international onboarding challenges by updating Go-based data models and rendering logic to support per-country codes and internationalization. The implementation included end-to-end validation with Twilio for the UK and Germany, ensuring reliable OTP delivery and reducing misrouted messages. Work focused on backend development and web integration, utilizing Go, HTML, and YAML to improve user experience for global audiences. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on new feature delivery.
