Worked on the GoogleCloudPlatform/magic-modules repository to deliver a new output-only MAC address field for compute instance network interfaces, currently available in beta. This feature enables users to retrieve MAC addresses for network interfaces, supporting improved network management and automation. The implementation involved updating YAML definitions, Go templates, and test cases to ensure the new field was fully integrated and validated. Focused on backend development and API integration, the work enhanced the module’s ability to surface essential network metadata. Test coverage and documentation were strengthened to illustrate and verify the new functionality, contributing to better platform observability and resource output capabilities.
