Worked on expanding localization support for the Jellyfin Web App by delivering Pirate English language coverage in the jellyfin/jellyfin-web repository. Focused on enhancing accessibility and user experience for speakers of non-standard English dialects, the work involved implementing translation updates using JSON and leveraging the Weblate platform for efficient workflow management. Translation changes were tracked through a dedicated commit, ensuring traceability and future maintainability. No major bugs were addressed during this period, but minor translation verification and polish were completed. This effort strengthened the project’s localization infrastructure, supporting broader audience reach and preparing the codebase for additional dialects in future releases.
