Worked on the FreshRSS/FreshRSS repository to enhance security and maintainability by addressing a Path Traversal vulnerability in the UserDAO component. Applied secure coding practices in PHP, implementing targeted unit tests to ensure the vulnerability was resolved and future regressions were prevented. Improved overall code quality by refining documentation, correcting typos in the CREDITS.md file, and enhancing code comments within configureController.php for better readability. Merged upstream changes to maintain an up-to-date and secure codebase. Demonstrated a methodical approach to back end development, focusing on risk reduction, code clarity, and supporting a more reliable user experience through thoughtful engineering.
