Developed and integrated the MirBSD Korn Shell (mksh) package into the chimera-linux/cports repository, delivering a complete packaging workflow from configuration to installation. The work involved creating build scripts, configuration files, and installation instructions, all designed to provide sane default settings and streamline the user experience. Leveraging skills in build systems, package management, and shell scripting, the developer automated the packaging process and improved documentation to enhance maintainability and consistency across the cports ecosystem. Python and shell scripting were used to ensure a robust, user-friendly package, expanding the cports catalog and reducing setup time for users without introducing new bugs.
