During May 2025, Mengchao Hao developed OpenModel License Agreement Management for the googleapis/python-aiplatform repository, focusing on automating license compliance for Model Garden assets. Mengchao implemented Python-based API methods to programmatically check and accept End User License Agreements, streamlining the onboarding process for restricted OpenModel models. This work established a foundation for scalable license management by reducing manual intervention and enabling automated governance workflows. Leveraging expertise in API development, cloud services, and license management, Mengchao addressed a key compliance challenge, though the scope was limited to a single feature without bug fixes. The contribution demonstrated depth in licensing automation and model management.
