Worked on the uc-cdis/sheepdog repository to enhance CI/CD readiness for Helm-based deployments, focusing on infrastructure automation and deployment workflows. The main contribution involved introducing the EKS_CLUSTER_NAME environment variable into the continuous integration pipeline, enabling seamless Helm-based deployment within CI environments. This change supported the broader migration of CI pipelines to Helm-managed infrastructure, streamlining deployment processes and improving maintainability. The work was implemented using YAML for configuration and leveraged DevOps and CI/CD best practices to ensure compatibility with Amazon EKS clusters. Over the course of the month, the focus remained on feature development, with no bug fixes recorded during this period.
