Worked on modernizing the user interface styling for the JabRef/jabref repository by consolidating scattered CSS into a unified Base.css file. This refactoring effort focused on improving typography, adjusting font sizes, and standardizing spacing to create a more consistent and accessible look throughout the application. Addressed visual alignment issues, such as correcting separator and toggle button placement, to enhance overall usability. Leveraged CSS, JavaFX, and XML to implement these changes, laying the foundation for scalable theming and reducing future maintenance overhead. The work delivered a cleaner interface and enabled faster UI updates, contributing measurable value to the project’s maintainability.
