During December 2024, u7556816 focused on modernizing the user interface styling for the JabRef/jabref repository. They delivered a comprehensive UI refresh by consolidating scattered CSS into a unified Base.css file, which standardized the application's appearance and improved maintainability. Using CSS and JavaFX, u7556816 enhanced typography and spacing, ensuring a consistent look and feel throughout the interface. Visual alignment issues, such as separator and toggle button misalignments, were addressed to create a cleaner and more accessible user experience. This work established a scalable foundation for future theming, reducing ongoing maintenance costs and supporting faster UI updates across the project.
