Worked on the dspace-group/simphera-reference-architecture-aws repository to deliver a Traefik Ingress Controller configured in chaining mode with an Nginx fallback, targeting AWS-based deployments. The approach involved wiring Traefik to manage ingress traffic while providing a robust fallback path to Nginx operating in ClusterIP mode, ensuring continued service availability during ingress controller disruptions. Focused on enhancing traffic management, reliability, and architectural resilience, the work included thorough documentation of the new ingress architecture and deployment steps. Utilized skills in Kubernetes, Terraform, and configuration languages such as HCL and YAML to enable reproducible infrastructure and streamline onboarding for future contributors.
