In April 2025, contributed to the dspace-group/simphera-reference-architecture-aws repository by developing the IVS Deletion Protection feature for AWS deployments. This work introduced a configurable option, enable_deletion_protection, designed to prevent accidental deletion of IVS instances within the reference architecture. The implementation involved updating documentation, variable definitions, and module instantiation to ensure seamless integration of the new safety mechanism. Using Terraform and HCL, the developer focused on enhancing cloud infrastructure governance and operational safety. The changes strengthened deployment safeguards without introducing bugs, reflecting a methodical approach to infrastructure as code and careful attention to both usability and documentation consistency.
