During December 2024, contributed targeted improvements to the OWASP-BLT/BLT repository, focusing on both CI/CD processes and front end user experience. Addressed a CI workflow issue by updating GitHub Actions and YAML configurations to exclude Dependabot from PR closing-issues validation, reducing unnecessary workflow runs and aligning with business goals of minimizing wasted CI minutes. On the front end, enhanced the post editor by customizing the EasyMDE JavaScript configuration, streamlining the editing interface for contributors. This work combined expertise in JavaScript, YAML, and CI/CD practices to deliver a leaner, more efficient development and authoring environment within a secure codebase.
