Worked on the Yoga core within the facebook/react-native repository, focusing on improving layout stability for dynamic user interfaces. Addressed a critical bug in C++ where freeing a child node did not properly mark the parent as dirty, which previously led to stale layouts and rendering issues. Implemented a fix to ensure the parent’s layout is recalculated after node removal, aligning behavior with existing child removal logic. Added targeted regression tests to validate the solution and updated documentation for release transparency. Demonstrated strong debugging and software development skills, contributing to more reliable rendering and maintainable code in production React Native applications.
