Worked on the fossasia/eventyay-tickets repository to deliver access-controlled product meta typeahead functionality, focusing on enhancing data governance and security. Implemented backend logic in Python using Django to restrict visibility of product meta values based on team permissions, ensuring that limited-access users only see relevant information. Developed and integrated comprehensive tests to validate the behavior for both limited and full access users, strengthening the reliability of the access control mechanism. The work involved tightening product meta typeahead filtering and reinforcing security boundaries, reflecting a methodical approach to backend development and testing within a collaborative open source environment over the course of one month.
