During March 2026, hbar1st enhanced the freeCodeCamp/freeCodeCamp curriculum by refining user stories for the create_character and countup functions. Focusing on curriculum development and technical writing, hbar1st clarified validation logic and return conditions, with particular attention to double negatives to reduce ambiguity and improve testability. The work, delivered in Markdown, strengthened documentation and change traceability, supporting clearer audits and faster onboarding for contributors. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of the feature work lay in making requirements more explicit, which improved maintainability and facilitated higher-quality curriculum development for future contributors and learners.
