Developed and delivered the Podman Plugin for the woodpecker-ci/woodpecker repository, enabling Podman as an alternative container runtime within CI/CD pipelines. Focused on expanding runtime flexibility, the work integrated Podman into Woodpecker’s plugin framework, allowing users to select their preferred container engine and supporting rootless deployments for enhanced security. The implementation leveraged skills in CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure, with particular emphasis on Podman and Linux environments. Documentation was updated to guide users on adopting Podman in their workflows. The month’s efforts centered on feature delivery and stability, addressing customer demand for lightweight, Docker-independent deployment scenarios without major bug fixes.
