Worked on the updatecli/updatecli repository to deliver a targeted backend improvement focused on cross-provider automation. Addressed a critical bug in the action handler by refactoring the decoding logic to ensure the full client configuration specification is correctly consumed across multiple SCM providers, including Bitbucket, Gitea, GitLab, and Stash. This change resolved issues with the decoding order for GitLab merge requests and enabled overwriting of client specifications, reducing processing failures. Emphasized robust error handling and improved resilience in the decoding path. Utilized Go for backend development, applying skills in API integration and configuration management to stabilize automated workflows.
