Worked on maintaining and improving the msys2/MINGW-packages repository by upgrading the yaml-cpp dependency to its latest upstream commit. This update ensured ongoing compatibility with upstream changes, provided access to new features, and reduced the risk of downstream maintenance issues. The approach focused on proactive dependency management, supporting stable builds and continuous integration workflows for downstream users. Utilized C++ development skills along with git for version control and package management tools to implement and validate the upgrade. The work contributed to the long-term sustainability of the package set by aligning closely with upstream development and preserving CI and build stability.
