
Over a two-month period, contributed to the UVicSatelliteDesign/COMP_SLIP-OBC repository by developing and refining core embedded features for satellite onboard computing. Built an RTOS-driven camera task enabling autonomous image capture and reliable storage to flash memory and SD card, establishing a robust data path for future camera integration and downlink. Integrated gyroscope sensor support by implementing initialization, register definition, and data retrieval over I2C, while enhancing error handling for sensor failures. Improved the battery monitoring interface by updating hardware addresses and removing deprecated fields. All work was completed in C, leveraging expertise in device drivers, embedded systems, and microcontroller programming.
