In June 2025, Florian Hertschuh focused on enhancing the build workflow for the Intel-tensorflow/tensorflow repository by upgrading the Bazel build system to version 7.4.1 within the tf_keras build script. This work aimed to ensure ongoing compatibility with upstream TensorFlow changes and to leverage recent improvements in Bazel, reducing build risks and supporting future development. Florian applied expertise in CI/CD, DevOps, and build automation, utilizing Shell scripting to implement and validate the upgrade. The scope of work was targeted and technical, addressing a core infrastructure need without reported bug fixes, and demonstrated depth in maintaining complex build environments.
