This update preserved the user experience for those upgrading to GNOME 48 and minimized risks for downstream deployments. The engineering effort centered on GNOME extension development and package management, utilizing the Nix language to manage dependencies and build processes. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary objective was to support the evolving GNOME platform.
