Worked on enhancing output formatting and data representation in the bpftrace repository, focusing on improving debugging efficiency for kernel and system programming workflows. Developed a new printf specifier to render Get Free Pages (GFP) flags in a human-readable format, increasing visibility into memory allocation events. Implemented robust bitfield support for structure printing, allowing for more accurate inspection of complex data structures. Addressed issues related to struct bitfield output, ensuring correctness and clarity in diagnostics. Leveraged C++ and deep knowledge of data structures to deliver these improvements, with an emphasis on unit testing to maintain reliability and output accuracy throughout the project.
