During November 2024, Hugo Papier integrated Hotjar analytics into the gladiaio/docs repository, enabling the documentation site to track user behavior for data-driven content improvements. He accomplished this by injecting the Hotjar tracking script directly into the static HTML of the site, ensuring seamless deployment within the existing Git-based workflow. This work leveraged his skills in frontend development and web analytics, with a focus on HTML and JavaScript script integration. The feature was delivered as a single, targeted commit, minimizing codebase disruption. By enabling heatmaps and session recordings, Hugo’s contribution provided actionable insights to optimize documentation and reduce user support needs.
