During November 2024, Joonwhan Woo enhanced operational control for the wafflestudio/waffle-world repository by implementing cross-environment Argo CD permissions for the siksha-server-data role. He configured policy rules in values.yaml using YAML and Kubernetes RBAC, enabling this role to manage applications and manually execute cronjobs across both production and development environments, specifically targeting siksha-api-server and siksha-crawler. This work focused on improving deployment flexibility and security by scoping permissions appropriately, supporting safer workflows without introducing new bugs. Joonwhan’s contributions demonstrated practical DevOps skills and a thoughtful approach to multi-environment GitOps configuration, addressing operational needs with targeted, maintainable changes.
