During November 2024, Hui1601 developed robust video extraction capabilities for the chzzk platform within the yt-dlp/yt-dlp repository. Focusing on Python and leveraging skills in API integration and web scraping, Hui1601 expanded the extraction pipeline to support HLS formats for uploaded content and MPD formats for ABR_HLS status, while also implementing live-content detection. This work addressed extraction reliability issues and reduced edge-case failures, ensuring more consistent playback across uploaded, ABR_HLS, and live videos. The technical approach emphasized resilience and adaptability, resulting in a more stable end-to-end extraction process that improved user experience across multiple content statuses and formats.
