Worked on enhancing the yt-dlp/yt-dlp repository by developing a robust video extraction feature tailored for the chzzk platform. Focused on expanding support for multiple content statuses and formats, the work included integrating HLS extraction for uploaded videos, MPD extraction for ABR_HLS status, and implementing live-content detection to ensure reliable playback across various video types. Leveraging Python and applying skills in API integration and web scraping, the developer improved the end-to-end extraction pipeline’s resilience, reducing edge-case failures. The targeted extraction fix addressed reliability issues, resulting in a more stable user playback experience for uploaded, ABR_HLS, and live video content.
