Worked on the open-energy-transition/pypsa-earth repository to enhance sector emissions visualization by improving the plotting configuration. Addressed the challenge of unclear differentiation between energy carriers in sector-level emissions plots by adding missing color codes for various sector carriers using YAML. Focused on configuration management and data visualization, the work involved refining color mapping to ensure that policy analysts and stakeholders could more easily interpret emissions data. Documented the changes through detailed release notes to support downstream users. Demonstrated a methodical approach to maintainable visualization code, leveraging version control and best practices in plotting configuration to improve clarity and usability.
